Seminar on the future of Tripoli
"The future of Tripoli … Where to?" was the title of the first seminar, held on Saturday September 20th, in the headquarters of the Arab University of Beirut ALUMNI in the North, under the sponsorship of His Excellency Mr. Issam Fares, in cooperation with the National Center for Statistics and Research on Development, the Municipality of Tripoli, and the Cultural League, and with the participation of Fares Foundation. The speakers who took the floor respectively on this occasion were Dr. P. Salem, Fares Foundation General manager, General Samir Shaarani, President of the Municipality of Tripoli, Mr. Rachid Jamali, President of the Cultural League, Dr. Abdallah Khaled, Director of the National Center for Statistics, Archives and Research on Development, and the civil engineer Diran Harmandian. Discussions in which several high ranked Tripoli personalities took part followed the delivered statements. 9/20/2003 |
