Towards a wider participation for the protection of environment and heritage in Akkar
On December 18th, 2004, the Commission of Environment, Tourism, and Heritage, within Fares Foundation, organized a workshop entitled "Towards a wider participation for the protection of environment and heritage in Akkar". Among the participants, Dr. Paul Salem, representing H. E. Mr. Issam Fares, the sponsor of the conference, the governor of the North, Nassif Kallouch, the Director General of the Ministry of Education, George Nehme, the Director General of Archeology, Frederic El Husseini, the Director General of the Ministry of Environment, Berje Hatjian, as well as several researchers and persons interested in history, environment, and heritage in Akkar.
