On Thursday December 29th, 2003, the Center for Development Services in Halba and the plain of Akkar, in cooperation with Fares Foundation, organized a workshop to shed the light on the PRA findings in the Akkar prairie and the most deprived and vulnerable Akkar regions.
It is noteworthy that the Center’s activists, with the cooperation of local leaders and residents, as well as students from the Faculty of Public Health at the Lebanese University, implemented the PRA project, in presence and participation of Fares Foundation Director General, Dr Paul Salem, Akkar caïmacam Tony Mokheiber, United Nations Development Program (UNDP) representative, Dr Mazhar Haraka, the head of Department of Social Affairs in the North, Mohammed Majed El Kheir, in addition to several heads of associations and municipalities, mokhtars and the field research team.
